The Feliway Friends supports cats in their first acquaintance. Feliway® contains a specific pheromone for cats, namely the 'cup pheromone'. This pheromone has a calming effect on cats. When Feliway® is diffused near a cat, it mimics the natural face or head pheromone as a message of reassurance. Thus, it helps to prevent or control unwanted marking behavior.
To help cats feel safe and secure in their introduction, it is therefore recommended to use the Feliway friends for at least a month. This reduces the chance that cohabiting cats see each other as a potential threat and increases the chance that they will go on as good friends!
