Beaphar Timothy Hay 1 kg is a supplementary food for rodents, a tasty and healthy type of hay for rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Timothy Hay has a high crude fiber content, good for teeth and digestion. In addition, it has a favorable Calcium-Phosphorus ratio. Timothy Hooi therefore fits in a balanced diet.
Most types of hay are based on alfalfa and contain quite a lot of calcium. In terms of composition, Timothy hay is most suitable for rabbits and rodents. Timothy hay contains a high fiber content (32%) and a low calcium content (+/- 0.5%). This favorable calcium-phosphorus ratio prevents, among other things, bladder problems in guinea pigs and rabbits.
